Reaching beyond the Alt-Country success of Chase Fifty Six’s 2010 “Allatoona Rising” Stalcup has embarked on a new project wielding the power of Atlanta’s All Star line-up of Bret Hartley ~ guitar (Sugarland, Sonia Leigh) Paul Barrie ~ drums (Cigar Store Indians, Donkey) Jon Daly ~ guitar, pedal steel, banjo (Michelle Malone, Jackson County Line) and Jim Vollrath ~ bass (Chase56, Mayhem Hero).
Hailing from Atlanta GA, Stalcup & The Grange finds it’s Americana sound situated squarely in the middle of the Southern Rock mecca for which their songwriting influences reign tall. Tales of loss and heartache combined with his unique southern storytelling and a well seasoned band, Stalcup leads the band’s dynamics from a slow swampy sway to a full blown rock and roll free for all.
