Skelton Crew, the highly anticipated debut album from Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear will be released May 19 on Glassnote Records. Already receiving widespread notice, the acclaimed duo recently made their network television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman performing the records first single, Silent Movies. Additionally, in advance of SXSW, NPR Music featured the band in their Austin 100 playlist, asserting, Timeless, mother-son roots-folk, on the brink of ubiquity.
Produced by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Artic Monkeys), the 12-song album was recorded in Nashville during the winter of 2014-15. Of the record, Madisen comments, We took the scenic route getting here, and I can already tell we ain t seen nothing yet. Thank you for letting us share this with you all.

On Skeleton Crew, producer Jimmy Abbiss (Adele, Artic Monkeys) stays out of the music's way as he captures the tranquil intimacy of sublime acoustic-guitar-and-vocals-only story songs like Dead Daffodils and Undertaker and Juniper. On poppier toe-tappers like lead-off single Silent Movies or Daisy Jane, and cryptic blues offerings like Modern Day Mystery, Abbiss adds few frills (the occasional train beat on a snare drum here, a tambourine or electric guitar lead there). That careful approach works for a set of songs that tackle life-and-death themes with character sketches and snapshots of the living that happens in between. --Rolling Stone
