Dennis Newman began his professional career in music at age twelve as a drummer/singer when he formed pop group The Runaways, playing local events in hi hometown Rye,NY. He switched to keyboards and harmonica and founded rock band The Saratoga Wrecking Crew, and performed at high schools and colleges. He eventually joined The Odd'N'Ends, a dance band gigging throughout the New York/New England Area.
He's developed a unique playing style backing his strong vocals with swirling Hammond Organ and stylish blues harp.
In 1997 he teamed with veteran guitarist Don Caplan, solid bassist Al Seeley, and tight drum percussion duo Charlie Ezelle and Wayne Mills. Now The Mule Newman Band announces it's 2001 release, an original collection entitled Mule Train.
In startling original and cool covers, their emotion and soulfulness make them powerful and exciting performers.
